Kelly Ripa’s Son Michael Consuelos Makes Rare Appearance Following Family Tragedy — Shows Support for Brother on Broadway
Michael Consuelos, the eldest son of Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos, made a rare public appearance after a difficult few months for the family. The TV producer and aspiring actor was pictured looking effortlessly sharp in a burgundy tailored suit, blue button-down, and white sneakers, capturing fans’ attention with his striking resemblance to his father, Mark.
In a candid Instagram photo, Michael joked, “Okay, you’ll tell me when you’re taking the picture, right?” — prompting a flood of positive comments from friends and fans, including “Bro looking fresh,” “Nailed it,” and “Nice fit.”
Michael, who graduated from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts in 2020, works as a producer on reality hits including The Real Housewives and Summer House. He recently returned to social media to celebrate his brother Joaquin’s Broadway debut in Death of a Salesman last March, writing, “I’ve never been prouder. @joaquinconsuelos was a powerhouse!”
The Consuelos family faced heartbreaking news earlier this year when Mark’s father, Saul Consuelos, passed away following a long battle with illness. Mark shared on Live with Kelly and Mark, “My father passed away peacefully, surrounded by family and love. He came here from Mexico as a teenager, served his country for 30 years, and was brilliant in everything he did. If you’re going to put a face to an immigrant, he would be the prime example of what this country promises people.”
Kelly Ripa opened up about the emotional impact on her children, explaining, “This is the first loss they’ve ever experienced in their lives… I can honestly say I will miss him every day for the rest of my life, as will our children.” Michael, along with his siblings Lola and Joaquin, has been navigating the family’s grief while showing unwavering support for one another.
The photos and social media posts marked a poignant return for Michael, balancing heartfelt family moments with his personal and professional growth, and highlighting the strength and closeness of the Consuelos family in the wake of loss.
