“We want to start by congratulating Alyssa and her husband, Justin, on the birth of their baby boy, Justin Patrick Griffin Jr.,” Goldberg shared, revealing that the little one weighed 7 pounds and measured 19.5 inches at birth.

The announcement stunned the View panel, with Goldberg and co-host Joy Behar joking about the unexpected details. “Yeah,” Goldberg said with a laugh. “Both mom and baby are doing well. I’m sure they’re tired, but they’re doing well.”

Behar added, “Why don’t we have any confetti?” To which Sara Haines cleverly responded, “We didn’t push babies out, she did!”

Fans of The View may recall that Griffin had teased the arrival of her baby just days earlier on-air. During a previous episode, Goldberg had joked that Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl halftime performance had actually sent Griffin into labor. “It put her into labor! She’s at the hospital right now!” Goldberg quipped, and the ladies wished Griffin well while she awaited the birth of her baby.

The excitement didn’t stop there. Behar had fun suggesting that the couple name their baby after the Puerto Rican Grammy-winner, Bad Bunny.

Griffin had previously shared her fertility journey on the show, revealing her struggles with IVF. “It was hard, it took us about a year, it took us five rounds, but he’s here. He’s coming!” she shared during an October episode of The View. She later opened up about her experience on the Behind the Table podcast, explaining the challenges she faced at age 35. “I had no idea how hard this would be. I’m healthy, I work out, I eat right, but my body was just not cooperating.”

What’s next for the growing Griffin family? Stay tuned to see their sweet journey unfold.
