Russia Strikes NATO Member Romania – U.S. Holds Emergency NATO Meeting

“Hello ladies and gentlemen, welcome to Tusc. This is your global news channel. I am Maya Tusi and an IRGC-made drone has been launched by Russia hitting the southeastern part of Romania, a member of NATO. President Trump and the United States are furious with the Russian Federation over this so-called incident and Romania have now decided to close down the Russian embassy in Constanta.”

“We’re going to talk about the latest update coming from the eastern part of Europe and of course the consequences. And as usual, the European Union and the Liberal leaders in Europe are all over the place. They don’t even know what they’re doing. One of them is saying that we should basically start attacking Russia. The others are saying that we need we need to have diplomatic solutions. I’m not really sure what that actually means. It’s just random words coming out of the European leadership. But there have been some injuries that’s been reported because a residential building has been hit. Going to give you guys all the updates on this. Going to get your reaction as well. Of course, if we have somebody here from Romania saying I am from Galati. So thank you guys watching as well from the other parts of Europe. Let’s talk about what’s happened the early hours of this morning. An IRGC Shahid drone that’s been given to Russia struck a residential area, an apartment building in Galati in Romania, injuring at least two people and it did manage to hit the roof of the residential building and it’s kind of not too far from the Ukrainian border. The Russian ambassador was immediately summoned to the Romanian foreign ministry and since then there has been a lot of reaction from both the Russian side but also the European Union side.”

“I am not really concerned about the way the EU is reacting to this because they don’t know what they’re doing. But the Americans are not happy and the NATO leadership, they asked the NATO leadership to hold an emergency meeting. Let’s quickly go to the moment of impact. So, this isn’t the first time we’ve had what the Russians would call misfiring.”

“And in case you don’t know the location, we’re just going to quickly go towards Romania, just to the eastern parts, southeast basically. Right here is Galati. We had the explosion over here and of course it’s not too far from Crimea, but according to the Romanian defense ministry, the attack did not come from that part. They do believe that the drone was launched from the Russian side completely as in mainland Russia towards of course Galati. But having said that the evidence of course that this was a Shahid drone which was obviously made by the IRGC in Iran and they give the drones to by the way Shahid drone. Shahid means martyr that they literally named the drones martyr. They are the martyr drones. Stupid, stupid name. Having said that we have had similar sort of issues previously especially around Poland as well but they were slightly different excuses. First things first let me actually quickly go to the next video we have from the explosion. Several obviously injuries were reported at first. So this is the building after impact. Around 70 local residents as part of that building were evacuated immediately. Although again those who were on the top floor, they were the ones who were injured. The interesting thing about the reaction from Moscow is it’s relatively the similar type of reaction they’ve had every single time. For example, when we’ve had Russian munitions hitting Poland, for example, you know what they eventually called misfiring, first denial, then they say that somebody tricked us. I don’t know how. And then they say it was an accident and everybody just move on. Obviously we know that they were also hitting the Ukrainian territory just nearby by the border. So clearly somebody messed up here. But we also have to talk about the way that the Romanian defense ministry responded to this or didn’t respond and that’s the interesting part because they were slightly afraid of shooting it down too early as it apparently could have caused more damage. But we do have a footage from the wreckage found at the site of the IRGC Shahid drone that was struck at in Galati eastern part of the country. And this is again there’s the the Russians also obviously because they buy this from the Islamic Republic in Iran with their own munitions. It’s basically called the Geran-2 or Shahid 136 drones. Let’s go to the video.”

“Yeah, obviously by the way those who have been getting excited saying that oh that’s it then NATO is going to trigger article five or whatever, NATO is not going to do anything. They NATO obviously they’ve held their emergency meeting already, they’re not going to escalate this because they’ve had opportunities before especially when things happen in Poland compared to this. But we are going to go to NATO. Let’s quickly go to the first statement from this NATO spokesperson and the rest of the leadership team saying early this morning an apartment building in Romania was struck by a drone as Russia attacked Ukrainian infrastructure near the border. Secretary General Mark Rutte is in touch with Romanian authorities. We condemn Russia’s recklessness and NATO will continue to strengthen our defenses against all threats including drones. So as you can see again technical words are very important in these sort of statements. This shows that obviously NATO does not want to escalate and there are a couple of words that shows that they want to calm things down. Number one saying that the drone that struck Romania, it happened during the Russian attacks on Ukrainian infrastructure, which is true because obviously it was right next door was nearby and well, God knows how one of the drones just went rogue and went all the way to Galati. We are saying that it happened during the series of attacks. If somebody wanted to basically mess around and say, ‘Oh, yeah, if this goes towards Romania for whatever reason, let me let’s just test the waters to see NATO’s reaction, whatever.’ Or could just be some interesting accident. We know that was happening during the attacks in Ukraine. So NATO confirmed that instead of escalating by saying that Romania is under attack by Russia. Russia wants to take over Romania. They didn’t do that. Secondly, they called it the Russia’s recklessness rather than saying evil act they want to basically destroy or wipe out Romania. They know what they’re doing.”

“So that was the initial statement. Then we had the minister of defense in Romania coming out to say that obviously they mentioned that the Russian drone was tracked for only 4 minutes. Only 4 minutes. They didn’t have enough time for a safe interception. And they said that we were afraid towards the end if we hit it at the wrong place, it could have caused more damage. Let’s go to the video quickly from the Ministry of Defense with the subtitles. In case you can’t read the tiny subtitles, I’ll reiterate. Now I do believe that’s true. The only problem is that what was happening beforehand. Now that’s that again that goes back to the way the Polish defense ministry has responded to these sort of incidents previously compared to what happened this morning in Romania. The Romanian air force when this was happening immediately scrambled two of the F-16 fighters fighter jets and a helicopter during that 4 minutes to intercept. Well, the moment they went up, that’s when the 4 minutes basically started in order to intercept the drone, but it still managed to strike the building. That’s why the minister said, ‘Well, we didn’t have time.'”

“Now, in the middle of all this, the Americans have taken the lead because they didn’t want the Europeans. I mean, the Europeans obviously, every single one of them come out to release a statement, which is usually the same copy and paste level of statements. We condemn the attacks blah blah blah recklessness and the Americans decided to obviously take the lead. So the US ambassador to NATO Matthew Whitaker first and then also their leadership said that NATO need to convene the emergency meeting. But quickly going to Matthew Whitaker the US ambassador he said that we stand with our NATO ally Romania and condemn this reckless incursion on its territory. Our thoughts are with the injured in Galati. We will defend every inch of NATO territory. That’s the fascinating part because while the European leadership, the European Union and the overall general NATO narrative has been so far well let’s not escalate because they don’t want to escalate this. The American reaction is more aggressive. I mean it’s not fully aggressive. They’re not necessarily threatening to invade Moscow, but it’s basically slightly more direct say we will defend every inch of NATO territory. That’s again just basic rhetoric because if Romania was under full attack, constant attack, then obviously that would be a whole different scenario. The point is that the Americans didn’t necessarily have to say it, but they do say it because right now under the Trump administration, they want to ensure that if President Trump or the government in the US want to play carrot and sticks, usually that’s the approach. Give some carrot, hit them with a stick when it comes to the rivals in the world. In this case, they wanted to show this stick first to the Russians without using it, saying we will defend NATO territory, even though obviously nothing’s going to happen in terms of response. Having said that, we also have the Romanian president Dan who said that the consulate of the Russian Federation in Constanta has now been well closed. I don’t know how many hours or days they have given but the Russians will be suspended and will be leaving.”

“Yeah. So the consulate which is not in the capital, it’s actually in Constanta because of the obvious commercial reasons and the location of the port city. They will now be expelling the consulate general declaring him persona non grata. We also had the reaction to this is absolutely fascinating by the Russians. So considering that it was an IRGC drone launched by Russia that hit Romania and it happens. Whoopsie. Right. Apparently and considering that clearly both Romania and NATO don’t want to escalate this, right? The reaction from Maria Zakharova from Russia is from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is she’s already promised that Moscow will take retaliatory measures in response. Russia will retaliate. So Russia hits Romania. Romania gets upset. Romania could do much worse for I mean using NATO not Romania on its own right but all they do is just basically close down the consulate which is these days in the 21st century it’s just you know every Tuesday some consulate in some parts of the world would just get closed down anyway right the British embassy in Iran has been closed down about 50 times over the last 20 years but somehow the foreign ministry in Russia is saying well this is too far we are going to we’re going to retaliate because you closed down a building. This is the Russian version of showing their stick, by the way. So, they’re not going to do much. What are they going to do? Just kick out the Romanians? Well, yeah, that’s probably what they’re going to do. They’re not going to necessarily launch strikes on Romania again because that will be difficult for NATO not to trigger Article 5. So, that’s not going to happen. They’re probably just going to expel some Romanian diplomats. Simple. And probably arrest some of the Romanian spies. But Russians also did another whoopsie and Turkey is not happy because Turkey while they are a member of NATO, they also have this interestingly friendlyish business-wise relationship with Moscow and Vladimir Putin, Erdogan and Putin. Having said that, a Russian drone has also struck a Turkish-owned cargo ship in the Black Sea and it was just moments after it left for this. Now, this is absolutely weird because the Turks have previously sent out some warnings in the Black Sea of the escalations that could cause this. Luckily, there were some Ukrainian Navy teams that managed to go and basically put out the fire and evacuate those who were injured. A number of Turks have been injured. And interestingly enough, even though I would still say that the obviously the attack on the residential building in Romania, that is even by accident, that that is a big deal because it’s a residential area and there are random civilians who live there. They didn’t know what was going on. But in terms of geopolitically speaking, a Turkish cargo ship getting hit, no reaction. Absolutely no response. Because again, they know Turkey is not like an ordinary NATO member. If Turkey and NATO and the United States are to react to something like this happening in the Black Sea, they’re going to have to be slightly more aggressive and they don’t want to be aggressive because then you’re going to have to, for example, again trigger article 5. No one wants to do that because that’s just going to cause more chaos. So the Turks just took the L and said, ‘Yes, we need to deescalate while the rest of the ship was hit.’ Now, couple of reactions from the Europeans. We’re going to talk about Germany first. Frederick Merz repeated the same thing and copy and paste same statement from everybody else saying Russia’s reckless drone incursion into Romania shows once again Russia’s willingness to escalate. Okay. Germany stands with our NATO allies. The incident once again underscores the need for strong NATO posture on the eastern flank. We are ready to defend every inch of allied territory. But the policy is not changing. So they can say all these things but it’s the same policy from NATO. We also have this footage of drone attacks against Russian logistics and support vehicles in eastern Ukraine over the last few hours and the last few days that the Ukrainian side have managed to identify the location of a lot of the Russian armored vehicles and of course transport vehicles and support vehicles basically all the logistical parts and they have been hitting them. For some reason they were just out in the open with no air support by the Russians so they’ve lost a lot of these equipment and materials now they are saying that the armed forces of Ukraine and the GUR are now stepping up their attacks in the eastern parts of Ukraine around the Russian border in order to paralyze more of the Russian support vehicles. I don’t know if this is some sort of level of weird confidence by the Russians to just leave things out in the open without any level of defense. But it’s the same with the when the whole war started and the Russian tanks the outdated tanks were sent into the Ukrainian territory first. They all got stuck. Not really sure what’s going on there. Starmer, the prime minister of Britain has also responded in case you were wondering what this man is thinking. He said, ‘Last night a Russian drone entered Romanian airspace and hit a residential building, injuring civilians. This is a serious violation of NATO airspace. Russia’s aggression against Ukraine and attacks on civilians and civilian infrastructure threatens the security of our entire continent. The UK unreservedly condemns such strikes. Time and again, Russia has shown it has no regard for civilian life, for international law, or for the sovereignty of its neighbors. That must not be allowed to stand. We stand shoulder-to-shoulder with Ukraine, with Romania, and with all our NATO allies in the face of continued Russian aggression.’ Now, in reality, it was probably just some drunk Russian guy who just launched the drone the wrong way because they were supposed to be hitting the infrastructure in the west southwestern parts of Ukraine, but it just went through. The problem is it did fly for a long time to get to Galati. I’m not really sure exactly how they’re going to take responsibility because the Russian reaction has been so far absolutely fascinating until the video evidence came out that it was in fact an IRGC drone. So the first couple of hours they were saying we don’t even know what you’re talking about. Nothing happened. No evidence that it was us. Obviously the evidence came out that it was an IRGC martyr drone. And now they’re saying that they want to basically flip the table and say now we are angry at Romania for kicking out our diplomats. The Romanian president Dan again also said that we had a Russian Geran-2 or Shahid drone that departed from Russia, not Crimea. We know its trajectory. We know where it passed through Ukraine. We know where it entered Romania. It was part of a swarm of 43 Russian drones of which only one reached Romania. Let’s quickly go to the president. Romania yeah he’s not the most alpha leader by the way President Dan he’s he’s a centrist so yeah anyway Medvedev of course has also come out to react. The initial response by Medvedev was interesting because the first couple hours he was saying it wasn’t us. Then they stopped denying that it was Russia because they realized oh well but the evidence was already out there. Initially they said it wasn’t us. Then they said it remains unclear whose drone it was. Then they said obviously oh yes it was a Shahid drone but the European Union has no right to complain because they support Ukraine. So we had three responses from Russia within the space of about a few hours. First denial, then they said, well, it’s not really clear, and then obviously they say, oh yes, it was us. But the Europeans, I don’t know what they’re complaining because they support Ukraine. So effectively, they’re saying we have every right to hit Romania, even though they don’t want to actually hit Romania, apart from the drone strike that you had. Having said that, the Ukrainians also hit one of the facilities, oil refineries, that’s still on fire. By the way, in case you haven’t, let me just show you the image that we have in Volgograd. And this is absolutely fascinating because over the last probably less than 12 hours I think yeah I mean it’s probably about 9 hours or so this oil refinery is still on fire and it’s it’s going to go for another day or two by the way cuz it’s massive. The Ukrainian drones have managed to hit this in retaliation to what the Russians were doing because the Russians are also hitting the Ukrainian infrastructure in the western parts of the country. So, all right. While that’s going on, I’m just going to get some quick reaction from you guys as well.”

“‘PC’ says Putin is insane. ‘Jeff’ says the mainstream media seems to lag a day or more behind 2CTV. Yeah. The thing is when something happens in a country like Romania, the mainstream media don’t seem to care. So, you don’t expect much from them. False flag. And NATO wants to force America into war. And it was NATO that decided to tell even the US to deescalate. So it’s the exact opposite. Is this not a declaration of war? No, it’s just a drunk Russian guy just launching the wrong direction. Ah, Transylvania is in Romania. Russia may claim Count Dracula was the target. Yes, that could have been that would have been the best reaction from Medvedev if he had said that. Please say hi to my man, Mr. Tourage Mansuri. Well, hello Mr. Tourage Mansuri and also ‘Helen Dagam’. ‘Dave’ says vodka for lunch before aiming the munitions. This reminds me of when the after about a year into the war the Russians they they had to get more people drafted into the army and they went to prisons. They released some criminals, huge chunk of them alcoholics. They dragged them to Ukraine and then they somebody started leaking videos of these drafted soldiers who were just sitting around in on the floor on the ground drunk and hung over and the Russian generals are like how do we how do we get these guys to sober up now? And then it wasn’t as bad as what happened to the North Koreans cuz when the North Koreans came to help Russia, half of them got lost. Not sure how. I think they just disappeared and the others ran away back into the Russian territory. So the Russians had to send them back, but Putin had to send a thank you to Kim Jong-un saying thank you for all the support. But basically, we got this from here. We don’t need any more North Korean soldiers. The problem with the North Korean soldiers is that firstly, North Korea as a communist state, you would think that it’s got a centralized dictatorial system, right? They really care about military discipline and everything else. The issue is that just because something is centralized does not mean it’s going to be strong. So the US as a constitutional republic, it’s got a obviously more of a democratic system. It’s not really a dictatorial system, but it still has a military that is powerful and it’s disciplined because it’s professionally trained rather than dragging people by force to join the military. But there’s also the other problem for the North Koreans is that they are out of practice. It’s such an isolated country. That’s a fake country obviously. And they’re they’re not really fit for purpose. So what are they going to do about it? As opposed to, for example, the Americans because the Americans are always active somewhere in the world. The US military is always doing something. So they’re always ready for battle. The European statements isn’t worth the toilet paper. I wipe my bum with a weak and pathetic continent filled with commies and socialists. To be fair, it’s filled with huge amount of liberals rather than commies and socialist. But yeah, with the billions of dollars given to aid Ukraine, they should have no problem defending themselves. The aid goes to Ukraine, not Romania. That’s the difference. Every war that also you’re dealing with the Russians, huge armed forces. So every war that has happened in the past, it’s been the same countries that want to talk and not fight for their land. All of them are scary and weak. But here comes the US. The same country they didn’t want to help. Yeah, the US doesn’t need to send any more help to the Europeans, especially after what the Europeans didn’t do in the Middle East. Check Trump social. Oh god, what’s he done now? Hang on. Hang on, guys. What’s he posted? Oh no. President, what have you done? Is it the Has he announced a deal or something? Hang on.”

“Okay. President Trump has posted. Oh god, this is a big one. Iran must agree that they will never have a nuclear weapon or bomb. This is the same thing he posted the other day. Why is he repeating himself? The Hormuz strait must there immediately open. No tolls or for unrestricted shipping traffic in both directions. All water mines or bombs if any will be terminated. We have removed through detonation numerous such mines with our great underwater mine sweepers. Iran will complete and immediate the immediate removal of the mines. Ships caught in the strait due to our amazing and unprecedented naval blockade which will now be lifted and may start the process of heading home. Say hello to your wives, husbands, parents, and families from me, your favorite president. The enriched material, sometimes referred to as nuclear dust, which is buried deep underground with virtually collapsed mountains caused by our powerful B2 bomber attack 11 months ago, sitting on top of it, will be unearthed by the United States, which it is agreed is the only country along with China with the mechanical capability of doing so in close coordination with the Islamic Republic of Iran plus the International Atomic Energy Agency and destroyed. No money will be exchanged until further notice. Other items of far less importance have agreed to. I will be meeting now in the situation room to make the final determination. Thank you for attention to this matter. Okay, let me just translate summarize what what just happened by the president. So this was released about 20 minutes ago, right? President Trump’s language is he he does it sometimes. He doesn’t say for example the IRGC should right or this thing should happen. He sometimes says it will happen even though it’s not happening yet. This will happen like for example the Islamic Republic will never have a nuclear bomb. What he means to say that they shouldn’t have, right? And he’s saying he makes it sound like obviously it’s been agreed by both sides that the US will go into Iran to take the nuclear dust and no money will be sent to Iran. Now, how on earth can the Islamic Republic agree to this? Like we could have so many compromises from both sides, right, to have some sort of deal, a fake deal, a deal to make another deal in the future. He’s just speaking on behalf of the IRGC. He’s just speaking for them. So he’s now saying that yeah, apparently Iran has agreed America will go in. No money will be exchanged. No toll for the strait Hormuz everything. But then he says, ‘I’m going to the situation room to decide.’ He doesn’t need to go to the situation room to decide by the way. He could just go to the the cabinet room for example or stay in the oval office. This is using that the language on purpose. ‘I’m going to the situation room to decide the deal.’ You don’t tend to do that, right? So, you’re going to discuss other options as well. So, let’s find out. Thank you, by the way, Sherry, for the heads up.”

“Putin should just blame Israel. It always works. Britain will launch their entire navy, both ships, except the one that’s in maintenance. It still reminds me of when the when the Brits decided to send reinforcement to Greenland to support the European Union. They sent one British officer just on his own with a backpack. I’m here on behalf of the British armed forces. Just me. I had an ancestor who left Russia during their check war against Korea down with a shirtless boot. Shirtless. Amazing. Ah dear. Anyway, so crazy stuff happening. What is this? Shut up, Tusi. He knows exactly what he’s doing.”

“Who? Putin, I’m not really sure at this point anymore. But President Trump, on the other hand, he knows exactly what he’s doing. That’s that’s why, as I said, he released that statement on purpose with the language he’s using. Obviously, the Islamic Republic is not going to agree to that that version, but he’s basically pushing them into a corner. So, yes, Trump always knows what he’s doing. Putin at this point, I I’m I’m slightly questioning cuz whatever you could say about Putin, you could always say that he does he used to think strategically long term. But I’m not really sure exactly what the plan is anymore from Moscow. But Tony says America chose to attack Iran alone. They went it alone and then cried for help. That’s not the case. NATO is a defense alliance. Why would it help on the offensive? Because it’s nothing to do with the US attacking Iran. You absolute bozo. It was about the fact that the Islamic Republic started randomly attacking European citizens, European commercial vessels, European oil tankers and took some of them hostage. Europeans were getting attacked by the IRGC and America said, ‘Well, we don’t need this Hormuz because we have our own oil. We don’t really care about oil from Iran.’ But your your people, they’re being attacked. Do you want to send your forces to help? And the Europeans said, ‘No, no, no. You you do it. You do it.’ So America said, ‘Fine. The US led the blockade of Hormuz.’ That’s the reality of what happened in the Persian Gulf and in the Gulf of nothing to do with what was happening in mainland Iran. That was just the Islamic Republic trying to basically escalate the situation. All the IRGC could have just defended itself, right? Because they were being attacked by the Americans, right? They could defend themselves and they could do retaliatory attacks on US bases in the Middle East. They didn’t have to attack residential buildings in Kuwait, in the UAE, in Saudi Arabia. They didn’t have to attack European ships and vessels. Obviously, this is part of a war strategy, it was in their interest to do it, but they didn’t necessarily have to. So, if they’re attacking the Europeans, President Trump says, ‘Europeans, man up. Come and defend your people.’ And Europeans said, ‘Yeah, we’re too busy being cowards.’ So, America decided to take advantage of that situation. Do the blockade. The Americans didn’t do the blockade of Hormuz as a charity to help Europe. It just it was a perfect opportunity for the Americans to say, you know, if the Europeans don’t want to open the strait of Hormuz to help their own stupid vessels, then let’s use this to do the blockade and basically block the access to the Iranian ports and completely paralyze them. And now Mohsen Rezai who is basically number two right now in Iran after a baghidi who is the head of the IRGC. Rezai is the one with a massive nose, massive fat nose. And that guy is now has now publicly said that he has advised the supreme leader, the cardboard supreme leader that we need to do something. We need to somehow end the US blockade which the president is now saying he’s going to lift it because Iran will collapse within the next few weeks or few months if it continues. So that’s the reality.”

“I have a request if you can call me a bozo. All right. Bozo. Trump is very good at trolling people. Yeah. $87 a barrel with all this chaos. Only Trump can do this. Yet remember when everybody said Tucker Carlson, everybody said that he’s going to get to $200. But President Trump knew exactly how to keep it down by just tweeting things or posting things on True Social. The markers have been manipulated every single week by the White House and Axius, which has been absolutely hilarious to watch. The $200 barrel hasn’t happened and World War III didn’t happen. Anyway, we’re going to take a short break and find out what on earth is going on in the situation room in the White House and the reaction by the Islamic Republic to President Trump’s announcement that apparently the Americans are going to go into Iran and pick up the nuclear dust. Highly doubt that. Thank you so much for watching. I’m Maya Tusi and we are the media.”
