Alyssa Farah Griffin made an emotional return to The View on Monday, just two months after welcoming her son, Justin Jr., into the world. The 36-year-old new mom appeared teary-eyed as she shared her gratitude for her husband Justin, her nanny, and her night nurse, who helped care for the baby during his first weeks at home.

“I missed you all so much!” Alyssa told her co-hosts Whoopi Goldberg, Sara Haines, Sunny Hostin, and Ana Navarro. “I’m back, I’m a human lighter, but he is here, he is with us! Little Justin is the most magical thing! Every mom told me, ‘Your brain chemistry changes overnight.’ My world feels fuller and more magical, and I am so grateful.”

Alyssa took a moment to acknowledge her support system. “I really want to thank my amazing husband, Justin. You see the best in your partner after such a traumatic labor. And our nanny Maria, and night nurse Theresa – I hope she’s watching – you are incredible. I couldn’t do my job without them. And shout out to nurses, literally angels in scrubs.”

The new mom also praised her co-hosts for keeping the show running smoothly during her maternity leave. “I watched every episode from home and thought, ‘This is the best show I’ve ever seen!’ It’s even better at the table than on TV,” she said, smiling as she returned to the panel.

Alyssa last appeared on The View on February 3, when her colleagues threw her a heartfelt baby shower on set. Guest co-hosts including Savannah Chrisley, Elisabeth Hasselbeck, Abby Huntsman, Amanda Carpenter, Sheryl Underwood, and Whitney Cummings filled in during her eight-week absence. The show aired reruns during the last week while hosts enjoyed spring break.

Upon her return, Alyssa brought along family photos of baby Justin and quickly jumped back into discussing the day’s political news with her fellow hosts, marking a heartwarming and inspiring comeback for the beloved television personality.
