The Moment Everyone Waited For: Iran Admits Defeat Under U.S. Pressure
Iran is a country that has been under sanctions from the United States and European countries since 1979 and has been isolated from the world. However, somehow it had managed to stay afloat in the face of these sanctions. In this war against the United States and Israel, the naval blockade imposed by the United States in the Strait of Hormuz deprived them of their only source of income: oil.

For the past 47 years, time has been the Islamic Republic’s most reliable weapon. The regime has survived every crisis it has faced. Look at the 1979 hostage crisis; it lasted 444 days. Then, look at the Iran-Iraq War that lasted 8 years, and the regime won by outliving Saddam.
They did the same thing in every negotiation about their nuclear programs. Their goal was simply to wait, wait, and wait, and allow Americans to get tired. In every conflict, whether military or diplomatic, they knew that the Islamic Republic had more time than its enemies. Unfortunately for the IRGC, this account is already changing, and this is changing due to the United States blockade.
As you can see from the peace plan that Iran presented to the United States two days ago, the regime demands that the lifting of the embargo take place in less than 30 days, because when Iran’s economy begins to suffocate, time is not really on its side. And so, before we look at the new peace plan that Iran has sent and all the new details we learned yesterday, let’s see how bad the situation has become inside Iran and how storage space is running out for the oil that the regime extracts from the ground.
The signs indicate that the U.S. naval blockade is slowly beginning to affect Iran on the mainland. A spokesman for Iran’s Ministry of Industry, Mines and Trade warned people to be careful when buying cars. He said the recent price increases were due to artificial market manipulation and had no real economic basis.
The same office also confirmed plans to import used cars. At the same time, Tehran began reducing crude oil production before the tanks were full in order to avoid reaching storage limits. A senior official said this measure was preventative. Years of sanctions and repeated closures have forced the oil sector to adapt.
Engineers can now leave wells idle for extended periods without causing long-term damage and restart them quickly. Hamid Hosseini, spokesman for Iran’s oil, gas and petrochemical exports, said the sector has enough experience and is not worried. Now, this is a common trend that we will see throughout the entire video. Any news coming out of Iran will make us think that Iran is not really desperate.
That’s why we should focus on what they do, not on what the authorities say. And Tehran has already made the decision to reduce crude oil production. Basically, they’re not extracting oil from underground because they’re worried about reaching storage limits. And when that happens, the consequences can be disastrous for the infrastructure they have built around the oil wells.
If they have to shut down the oil wells, that means reopening them could be very difficult. And of course, as you know, there’s also the ongoing “economic anger” operation. This essentially means the sanctions and freezes imposed by the U.S. Treasury Department on Iranian funds and Iranian companies or companies that assist Iran.
“And Maria, just to remind you and your viewers, this began with the order last March from President Trump on maximum pressure and 3 weeks ago, the president gave the order to Treasury himself to begin ‘economic fury.’ And the way to think about that, we were running a marathon over the past 12 months and now we are sprinting towards the finish line.”
“And I can tell you that we are suffocating the regime and they are not able to pay their soldiers. This is a real economic blockade and it is in all parts of government, all hands on deck. It is the blockade that our great Navy is doing. No ships are getting through and we have upped the pressure on anyone trying to move money into Iran to help the IRGC.”
“You know, they are corrupt institutions. They’ve been stealing from the Iranian people for years. They have money off-tracked that we will continue to track down.”
The speaker also discussed how Iran shot itself in the foot when it began attacking Gulf countries, especially the UAE, because the UAE was a country that turned a blind eye to the IRGC’s use of companies within the UAE or shell companies to evade sanctions.
But after Iran launched 2,000 missiles and drones against the UAE during the war, UAE officials are no longer willing to turn a blind eye. In fact, they are currently very proactive in finding those Iranian accounts and freezing all the money there. Here is the update from Secretary Persent:
“Gulf neighbors allowing Iranian IRGC, Iranian regime money into their banking systems have been very fulsome and come forward and given us the details and allowed us to freeze those assets. So, you know, the IRGC is watching their stolen assets for years, decades, for 47 years… it’ll get frozen and go down the drain very quickly.”
“The UAE has decided that OPEC is not for them. Most monopolies eventually collapse under their own weight. And Maria, we could talk about it now or in a minute, but this gives me a lot of optimism that oil prices on the other side of this conflict are going to be much lower than they were going in or the beginning of the year or at any point in 2020.”
There is a leak in the entire system that Iran continues to use to basically maintain or prolong the life of its economy. And this leak is actually the border between Iran and Pakistan. As you can see in the clip on screen, there are many trucks and motorcycles carrying oil or other goods from one place to another.
This is how they circumvent the U.S. maritime blockade that is strangling Iran’s trade, exports, and imports. Now, this is a little confusing because you might think that Pakistan is on the side of the United States, considering how much the United States has helped them, but I think it all comes down to money here. Pakistan is like a kind of military dictatorship.
They have a civilian government, but they don’t really have that much power. They have a military faction that controls everything important in the economy, and unfortunately, the military forces benefit greatly from all the smuggling that occurs on the Iran-Pakistan border, and that’s probably why it’s happening now.
President Trump was asked about this because it has become big news. If you think about it, if the U.S. plan is to strangle the Iranian economy, this looks like a U.S. ally, Pakistan, is actually helping Iran to survive. Now, there are some positive things about it, and that is that this smuggling issue remains a very small leak.
Iran, as you know, will never be able to replace what it can export with tankers that carry 2 million barrels of oil at a time. It’s impossible to replace that kind of volume all at once with cars and motorcycles. You would need 17,000 motorcycles transporting five-gallon buckets that you could get at Home Depot just to replace one tanker. 17,000. Yes, there is a leak, but I hope it is very small compared to the trade that Iran conducts at sea. Now let’s move on to the negotiation.
It appears we have some details about what the new plan Iran sent to the United States contains. Now, before we get into these details, there is a warning here: all the details we have come from Iranian media. That’s why there’s something we need to keep in mind. They will only share things that are positive for Iran.
They will not share the negative things about Iran. In other words, they will not talk about the concessions that Iran is willing to offer. I assume that concessions have been included in the peace plan, but all the information we have does not mention a single concession. Here are the details: sources said Iran’s plan has three main stages and aims to turn the ceasefire into an end to the war within 30 days.
It envisions a commitment to non-aggression, including towards Israel, to prevent war from returning to the Middle East and to end conflicts. I suppose this probably refers to the war that Lebanon and Israel are waging against Hezbollah. Continuing, the first phase will gradually open the Strait of Hormuz and lift the blockade that the United States imposed on Iranian ports.
Tehran could take on the task of dealing with the sea mines. The second phase of the proposal envisions Iran returning to 3.6% enrichment after the time limit, in accordance with the zero-storage principle. The plan includes the United States and Israel refraining from attacking Iran and its allies in exchange for Iran also refraining from attacking.
The proposal rejects the dismantling of Iran’s nuclear infrastructure or the destruction of its facilities. Lifting the sanctions implies the gradual release of the frozen funds. In the third phase, Tehran proposed initiating a strategic dialogue with its Arab neighbors and establishing a security system that covers the entire Middle East.
Now, again, these are not all the details. I suppose things like the concessions offered by Iran are not included because the details come from Iranian media. But it is important to point out that this proposal even indicates that Iran accepted non-proliferation for a certain period. We don’t know exactly how long this will last. From previous negotiations we know that the United States wanted this limit to be 20 years.
Iran wanted it to be 5 years. We can assume it will be somewhere in between, but we don’t know for sure. Now, here’s another interesting point: Iran refuses to dismantle the nuclear facilities it owns. This is something the United States wants Iran to include. They want Iran to stop rebuilding its destroyed nuclear facilities, but the last one, the third phase, is a little more important.
This is something we will need more details about. Iran says it wants to talk with its Arab neighbors—the same neighbors Iran attacked just 30 days ago—but now they want to establish a security system to protect the Middle East. In reality, Iran is the only country that puts everyone in the Middle East at risk.
However, these are all the details we have. And again, we must keep in mind that this comes from Iran, meaning it will not include everything Iran offers or all the concessions. Now, this is the statement President Trump made yesterday regarding this proposal:
“Well, I saw that, and she also shared this tweet. I will soon review the plan that Iran sent us, but I cannot imagine that I would accept that they have not paid a high enough price for what they have done to humanity and the world over the past 47 years.”
