Ben Shapiro has taken a dig at Jimmy Kimmel after he slammed Elon Musk on his show. It comes after Forbes reported on June 12 that Musk is now the world’s first trillionaire.

According to the outlet, SpaceX reached a $2 trillion market cap after its NASDAQ debut at $150 per share. It also skyrocketed Elon Musk’s wealth, making him the world’s first trillionaire. Jimmy Kimmel took multiple digs at the SpaceX founder on his show, Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Friday.

Sharing Rolling Stone’s report of the TV show host’s rant on X (formerly Twitter), Ben Shapiro took a dig at him, writing:

“Multimillionaire paid by multibillionaires very angry at trillionaire.”

Shapiro also wrote about it in another post, which read:

“If you’re very concerned about extroardinary wealth leading to concentration of power in government, may I suggest a system of horizontal and vertical checks and balances, restricted to limited and enumerated powers?”

Meanwhile, Kimmel joked about SpaceX launching its IPO and Elon Musk becoming a trillionaire on his show, saying:

“Tomorrow SpaceX will reportedly launch the biggest IPO in history. And once SpaceX does that Elon Musk is expected to become the first ever trillionaire in the history of the world. And what makes that even more unsettling is this man, our first trillionaire, the richest man in the world, is also one of the weirdest people we’ve ever seen on this planet.”

“This obscenely wealthy weirdo has the ability and means to blow up the moon if he chooses. And also to put a lot of other people’s money in his pockets,” he added.

Kimmel also claimed that investing in SpaceX could be risky because it allegedly “lost $5 billion last year.”

In a previous interview, Elon Musk had claimed that people shouldn’t save “money away for retirement in 10 or 20 years.” He said that it will become “irrelevant” and that AI and robots will be able to do most of the jobs (h/t Yahoo Finance).

On his show, Jimmy Kimmel referenced these comments from the Tesla founder and said:

“Basically, this maneuver could make Elon a trillionaire and your parents Walmart greeters. Wasn’t he supposed to be going to Mars? Can’t we help chip in to speed that up?”

The late-night show host also spoke about the magnitude of one trillion and said:

“We know a trillion is a number, but it’s so large. We can’t fathom it. The same way we know Elon has a lot of kids, but we can’t fathom him getting laid.”

“Elon could buy every NFL team and he’d still have $773 billion left. Which he could use to buy all 30 major league baseball teams, every NBA team, every Wendy’s, every Target store, the Beatles entire music catalogue. He could buy Nike, Macy’s, and every Hyundai Elantra ever produced. And would still have $260 billion leftover.” he added.

Kimmel also accused Elon Musk of “stealing from us,” adding that he doesn’t even pay taxes.
