Kelly Ripa wasn’t impressed with her husband and co-host, Mark Consuelos, after his surprising question to a caller during a Wednesday broadcast of “Live with Kelly and Mark.” The couple, who have been co-hosting together since April 2023, saw Mark’s competitive streak come to the forefront in a game of “Stump Mark.”

The game challenges Mark to guess which of a caller’s two personal statements are true. When faced with Lisa Best from Chattanooga, Mark struggled to decide between her claims about participating in Georgia’s Dolly Day Festival and performing at the Grand Ole Opry.

In a bid to secure victory, Mark asked Lisa if she’d swear on her children that her story was true, prompting Kelly and the studio audience to react with shock. “Mark! WHAT?!” Kelly exclaimed, immediately shutting down the request and assuring Lisa she didn’t have to answer. Mark insisted he wanted to win, ignoring Kelly’s objections, which led her to call him a “monster” on live television.

Despite Mark’s tactics, he incorrectly guessed the Grand Ole Opry story was false. Lisa turned out to be telling the truth, earning a mug, a t-shirt, and $2,000 in the following “Deep Dive Travel Trivia” game. The incident left the audience stunned, with Kelly highlighting their outrage and disbelief.
